    白糖罌 baak6 tong4 aang1 ,是廣東省品質最優良的早熟良種特產。主要產於茂名市的高州、電白等地,有一千三百年以上的栽培歷史。該品種果肉爽脆,味清甜。罌為營的簡化字,是一種容器(舊時粵菜廚房常備,炒菜常加白糖),砂煲瓷罐(平底鍋)之覺。以「白糖罌(瓷)」沉積的糖份來形容這種荔枝品種的甜度。又名蜂糖罌(味甜)、中華紅(皮紅)。
